John Irving

The story of Fifth John Irving’s novel begins in the summer of 1939 when Vaughn Byr and Meri Beits grew up in New Hampshire, working far away from home in the hotel by the sea, as if for the first time seeing each other and decide to get married. At the same time, Vina from a pet dog, a Viennese Jew, whom everyone calls Froyd, still buys a ghostly bear and a motorcycle. Soon one after the other five Beriu children are born. As long as Vina drove the toy across the country to earn money for study at Harvard, his wife, with the help of Grandpa Iowa Bobo, is raising children.
